Here’s what you can do:
The county Assessor reevaluates property values each year, notifying owners of the assessed value by mail. If an owner believes the new assessed value exceeds the fair market value of the home, there’s an opportunity to appeal.
Petitions must be received on or before July 1st of the assessment year or within as many as sixty (60) calendar days after the date listed on the assessor’s value change notice – whichever date is later.
