Market Update: Capitol Hill – June 2014

And the trend continues! Once again, Capitol Hill proved to be a seller’s market in June, with the number of homes placed under contract up 10.5% compared to May and up 23.5% compared to the same period last year. Here are some other relevant facts:

>>The number of homes listed for sale dropped 3.8% compared to last month, giving buyers a slightly smaller pool of homes to choose from

>>Average price per square foot came in neutral at $341 but is up 7.7% compared to the last year

>>The average days on market last month was 19

>>The Sold/Original List Price Ratio remains steady, with seller’s getting 100% of their list price on average
